would later serve as the Chapter President and Undergraduate Regional President. Under his unbridled leadership he was further able to serve the National Pan-Hellenic Council as not only a delegate, but in the roles of council Vice President and Chief Judicial Officer. In those capacities, he was instrumental in the reconstruction of the NPHC Constitution as well as the recognition of Black Greek Letter Organizations on campus with displays in the University Dining Facility.
Within the Student Government, Charles proved to be a reflection of the university as a Student Senator in the 57th and 58th Student Senate and member of the Internal-Affairs Committee. He also served as a facilitator on the President’s Leadership Council where he helped bring attention to the need of refocusing the goals of the university toward undergraduate scholarship. In the areas of service, Charles has been a Music Teacher within the Leon County School system and Taylor County Schools. He has further served with the Make a Difference Tallahassee initiative, Kappa Alpha Psi Guide Right, Knights of Pythagoras, National Student Leadership Conference and mentors numerous high school and college students.
For his diligence and service, Mr. Davis has received numerous honors and awards. He was recognized as a FSU Student Star in August 2005, the National Pan-Hellenic Council Man of the Year and Chapter President of the Year Awards (2006), Who’s Who Among American Colleges & Universities 2006, Seminole Torchbearers (2006), FSU Dean’s List Scholar, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Guy L. Grant National Brother of the Year Award (2007). He is also a member of Golden Key International Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honors Society, National Scholars Society, and a recent inductee into Pi Sigma Epsilon Professional Fraternity (Marketing, Sales, & Management).
As a student of literature and avid reader, Charles has begun work on his first two major publications as a co-author of 1) The Audacity of Leadership and 2) Envision The Vision. Both projects will be in circulation by in numerous college and university bookstores around the country. In addition, Mr. Davis as begun publishing in academic journals with submissions to the Center of African American Research and Policy – Occasional Paper Series and Association of Education in Journalism and Media. Mr. Davis has also authored a number of research synthesis, abstracts, and white papers in the field of Marketing Communication and Media Studies.
A man with a true entrepreneurial spirit, Mr. Davis serves as President & CEO of VOCAL Speakers, which is inspirational consulting practice which aims to promote voices of character and legacy through the facilitation of speeches, informative presentations, and educational workshops. As a speaker Mr. Davis has had the opportunity to deliver inspiration across the country as a guest speaker with organizations such as LeaderShape®, Junior League of Northern Virginia, Florida Youth Leadership Summit, 100 Black Men, Inc., and the Kappa Alpha Psi Undergraduate Leadership Institute. As an annual initiative, Mr. Davis has instituted a College Tour in which he has delivered speeches, seminars and workshops. Some notable stops on his national journey include invitations from Auburn University, The Florida State University, Florida A & M University, George Mason University, Morgan State University, The Ohio State University, and numerous others. Furthermore, Mr. Davis is often sought out for commentary on current events, politics, education, and social activism serving as a guest on CNN Situation Room, Your Voice TV Talk Show, Be-Inspired Radio and regional broadcasts of ABC 27 WXTL. For his commitment to inspiring others, InSpire Magazine recently named Mr. Davis as one of “America’s Top 40 Inspirers”.
Charles recently completed Master of Arts degree at The Florida State University in the College of Communication Integrated Marketing Communications program and will be enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania M.S.Ed./PhD program Fall 2009. As a scholar he currently is involved in the Brothers of the Academy Institute, Center for African American Policy and Research and has served in various research capacities at Florida State University. Current memberships include Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Prince Hall Freemasonry – Florida Jurisdiction, The American Marketing Association, American Advertising Federation, and Great Black Speakers, Inc. In addition, Mr. Davis was recently named the youngest Vice President at InSpire Magazine as Vice President of Marketing & Promotions.
